One of the ways they do this is by keeping us in touch with trends in popular culture. If it wasn't for my twelve-year old daughter, I would never be an American Idol fan. I don't watch much network television, but Erica's interest in the show has gotten me involved too. One thing I do keep an eye on, however, is trends on the Internet. And according to my sources, "American Idol" is a hot search term, and getting hotter.

I don't have a favorite contestant yet, and I haven't ever voted. But I do watch. How about you?

My favorite person was Jennifer and now that she is gone I am a little hurt. I think that she was one of the best performers the week she was voted off. We have watched the show since it first strted and loved it. No I dont call in and vote but we all have our favorites. We also enjoy Country Star which is the sm=ame thing but with adults. Keep the shows coming I say music is a good thing.
