My newest mini-site Buy Barbara Coffee is the result of the intersection of many forces.

First, after reading Influence: The Psychology of Persuasion, I realized that my readers' desires to reciprocate for the help I've provided are powerful. And, therefore, I should provide a mechanism for my audience to thank me in some small, socially acceptable way: such as buying me a cup of coffee.

Second, the number of sites interested in text sponsorship links is growing all the time, and although I have text link sponsorship packages that run from $175 to $750 a month, I didn't have much at the bottom of the scale, until now. And finally, it just seemed like a fun site to build, especially since someone else already wrote the Buy-Me-A-Drink script.
