Although I hate talking about Christmas that early, and all the Christmas things in the shops in August, I can share a funny episode of the Christmas fever, too. My friend Barbara from GB visited me in Germany and we talked about foods. She mentioned, she would like to try German Stollen ( a kind of cake which is eaten around Christmas only). I believe it is because many people celebrate “Christmas in July”. Some people have gift exchanges, or begin making their homemade christmas gifts. Some people even begin “gasp” their Christmas shopping. I think I’ll start thinking about designing my Christmas cards.. or I can finish the cards I didn’t send last year.

Actually I do have a theory, it just took a few days for it to gel. I think that it is all the SEO (search engine optimization) guys starting to work on their “Christmas” campaigns, just looking to see where they currently rank.

Hi Barbara, I am not sure why many would be searching for Christmas at this time, but I like to do needlework and I start early. I have already made some of the things I want to do, but I can get some new ideas online. I hope that is all that is happening with the search of Christmas. Susan

I remember when I was a kid, when it got REALLY hot out, say, in August, I used to start reading about snow, and Christmas and all things cooler. Maybe this abnormally hot weather is an explantion.
