March 12, 2009Facebook Wall Photos for St. Patrick's Day and Pi DayYesterday I created a few Facebook wall photos for a new Surfnetkids project. The project is no where near done, but I'd love some feedback. Are you on Facebook? Have you seen those wall photos (or tag images) that are a grid of pictures of objects or cartoon characters? Well, I've made a few around the theme of two March holidays: St. Patrick's Day (3/17) and Pi Day (3/14). You can grab them over at http://tag.surfnetkids.com, upload them to your photos on your Facebook account, and tag your friends. Your friends will then get a note on their wall that they were tagged. It's a kind of social networking way of sending a shout out, or a holiday greeting. I like to think of it as the newest version of e-cards. Now, some of the wall photos are that are already out there, are not very family friendly. So, our goal is to work on perfecting this so it would be fun for all ages. If you are my friend on Facebook, you can see these photos in my Facebook photo album. Either way, you can pick up a few to play with at the new site: http://tag.surfnetkids.com. Only only ask one thing... will you tell me if you think I'm on the right track? Do you like the idea of family friendly Facebook Wall Photos from Surfnetkids? You should follow me on Twitter here.More Posts Like This One: Online Publishing What's New? Posted by Barbara J. Feldman at March 12, 2009 3:38 PM | Comments (8) Read Comments

Thank you March 15, 2009 12:02 PM Hi Barbara, March 14, 2009 2:36 PM Hi Connie, I'm going make a short video about how to tag a Facebook photo, but meanwhile, you can read this: http://tag.surfnetkids.com/how-to-tag-friends-facebook.php Barbara March 14, 2009 12:24 PM I think it is a great idea. I am a newbie with facebook and am not quite sure how to tag? March 14, 2009 11:32 AM Dan, Reader feedback is very important to me. Thanks for posting your thoughts. And while I always hate to lose a subscriber to any of my free newsletters or lose a visitor to any of my free websites, please feel free to un-subscribe if you are unhappy. Do you collect a paycheck from a job? My only way to pay my mortgage, pay my health insurance, and feed my family is through the advertisers that pay me to deliver their message to my many WONDERFUL readers, subscribers and visitors. And for the many blessings I have, I am very grateful. I love my readers!
March 14, 2009 11:20 AM Thanks for the Pi Day Facebook Wall Photo. I used it on my Facebook page. Family friendly was nice. Thanks again! Jeannie March 14, 2009 9:10 AM Unfortunately yet another way to advertise your website, this way through Facebook tags. I used to really enjoy your newsletters but the way you have increasingly been using them to direct traffic to your website, your related domains and other revenue making websites is becoming a bit too much :( March 13, 2009 6:09 PM The skin cream ad which accomanied your e-mail should be removed. It is annoying, intrusive and probably a scam with which you should not want to be associated in any way. |
