May 30, 2003Fun Way to get a Logo Design!I've outsourced a few coding/writing jobs at eLance.com, where you post a job description, and freelancers bid. But the concept at DesignOutpost.com is completely different. Instead of having to hire a graphics designer before you see what they design for you.... the design work is done up front, and you get to choose which one you want to buy! DesignOutpost.com is a forum for running what they call "design contests." Companies create contests ("the winning logo for WidgetsRUS wins $100!") and designers compete for the "prize money." So maybe Surfnetkids needs a new logo, a site redesign, or a company t-shirt. I could come up with all sorts of reasons to give DesignOutpost.com a try. Just one more thing: there's a section where non-profits can get their designs for free. More Posts Like This One: Online Marketing Online Publishing Posted by Barbara J. This article is definitely worth considering as well before you start purchasing from an online logo design service. Very informative. And it'll surely help you on deciding which site to choose from when the need arises. It is by WIRED Magazine: http://www.wired.com/wired/archive/13.10/start.html?pg=13 They tested some logo design firms who cater to the online market (Logo Company, LogoDesignCreation.com, etc.). Posted by: Jimmy on February 20, 2008 9:46 PMWell what a pleasant surprise to find your glowing review while I was checking my statistics. :) Thank you Barbara. I've been receiving your Surfnetkids newsletter for quite some time now. I'm a stay-at-home dad, I always find some interesting things in there to do with my 2 sons, ages 5 and 2. I'm glad you enjoyed our site and we would be honored to help in the design of your next logo. Thanks again, |
