August 10, 2006How to Eat Fried Worms Sweepstakes"How to Eat Fried Worms" is a new movie coming out on August 25 about a middle-school student who stands up to a bully, based on the book of the same name by Thomas Rockwell . When I was approached by the movie promotion people and asked if I was interested in hosting a sweepstakes, I said yes for two reasons. First, because I liked the message of an underdog middle-school student beating a bully. And second, because I haven't done a sweepstakes or a contest in a really, really long time, and it sounded like fun! Enter the contest (when it goes live) at the following link: After you've signed up, you can play some games sponsored by the "How to Eat Fried Worms" movie: How to Eat Fried Worms: Worm Slinger How to Eat Fried Worms: Worm Out Or read my column about bullying: You should follow me on Twitter here. I look forward to getting the book for my children. I too am always for the underdog. August 15, 2006 11:20 AM I'm glad to hear that there's a movie coming out. My daughters enjoyed this book years ago and I'm sure my students will be interested, once they learn that there's a movie version. I'm glad to see that your form allows for people outside the U.S. to enter, though there's no room to indicate a country name in case one of us is a lucky winner. August 15, 2006 8:30 AM I am a huge supporter of Walden Media. They have promoted treasures like Narnia, Winn Dixie, Hoot and now Fried Worms. It would be great to win this prize package. They have some previews throughout the country for screenings of Fried Worms. You can go to their website at www.waldenmedia.com for more info. August 15, 2006 6:25 AM I made it this far:) August 15, 2006 6:10 AM I am very excited about this site because I have read the book every year. I am sad that our school district will not let me access the games. I think the students would have fun playing them. Thanks for all your hard work to make my job easier. |

Going to see Avatar in IMAX 3D instead of watching the Super Bowl. I'll see the ads on YouTube later. ~~ From Twitter on Feb 7, 10 02:48 PM
