How to Sell and Deliver eBooks (Part 2)

As promised, here's the continuing saga of my new mini-site How to Sell and Deliver Ebooks.

I mentioned the site on Tuesday to an Internet entrepreneur discussion list I'm a member of -- and got my first visitors.

Adwords are going slow --- best phrase for me is "sell ebooks" but at my bid of .05 --- I'm in position 13 or 14. Since the site has no record of performance yet, I'm not wiling to up my bid. Perhaps after I see some revenue, I'll be more agressive with Adwords.

Search engines have picked up the site, though. First page to get picked up by Google was actually an entry from this blog about the site. Google seems to love blog entries, and at the moment, is ranking them very high. Try "sell and deliver ebooks" in Google, and you'll see these entries as (currently) #3 and #4.

I'm also starting to get a dribble of traffic from Overture (Inktomi) and MSN on the phrases "how to sell ebooks" and "ebook delivery" where I'm ranking in the top three.

How did get into the search engines so fast? Well, I didn't submit the site anywhere. I simply placed a link on my well-ranked Surfnetkids.com site. As known sites are spidered, and links followed, new sites are "discovered." As it turns out, this little tidbit of information is what makes the Surfnetkids sponsored links text ads so popular.

Sally,
I am interested in selling ebooks online and I am having a hard time finding a reputable membership on resale rights. Do you have any suggestions? Thanks!

Hi Barbara,

I stumbled upon your article on ebooks, and thought you might be interested in a new ebook just released in December. The author Nelson Bates provides easy to follow instructions on how to build and market a profitable website business from scratch. You can download a free preview of the Best Website book (chapters 1-4) at www.BestWebsite.com.

As I was reading this article, I thought it contained reall great information, then I looked at the date it was posted! It's funny how the content is still relevant today.

Sally :)
