I am enjoying your blog. I had shoulder surgery on June 7– your original date– and am doing well. I had the same experience about the TV. Usually the TV is on in our house about once every month or two. During my recovery period, I saw every news broadcast, watched tons of movies and reruns of Judging Amy, and read every newspaper. There wasn’t a thing going on in the world that I didn’t have some sort of information to discuss about it. Now that I am recovered and back to “normal,” I have become clueless again. Maybe there is a happy medium somewhere!

Barbara,
You make sure that you “listen” to your doctors, and, LAY AROUND, okay?
I probably sound like your MOM…but, I have had all of my children Ceaseran section, plus, a couple more operations “thrown in”.
It will NOT be long until you are UP, and, back in the groove…
It is AMAZING how well you are doing, already.
So, have PATIENCE, and, the healing part will come quicker than you think

I have been ignoring the chit chat this summer and just passing on the emails to persons I think could use the topic in their classes…
Now come to find someone as gifted and giving as you has had surgery and thinks she is becoming lazy…hmmm..you know those calendars and book about Women who do to much…sometimes we just have tolearn to appreciate down time as a gift…now if only I could learn from those words…

We have a Replay digital recorder. It was one of the first ones out. There are no fees. We love it as we can tape for use at our convenience, pick and choose and skip through those commercials. I think we may actually watch less TV now, which is good!
