However you can't read much into such a study without more information. If the kids are simply chatting with each other after school there may not be much benefit if it's only within a set group of friends. If they are networking around the world, being creative, taking charge of their own learning, using mindtools that assist learning...the potential is great. The world of Web2.0 with its mashups and networking is an interactive world, where the individual's participation is interactively encouraged. These are exciting days on the internet.
