Surfnetkids.com has been offering co-registration newsletter subscribers for several years. What is co-registration? It is a way to build a newsletter list by offering your publication to new subscribers as they are signing up for someone else's newsletter.

For example, after signing up for the Surfnetkids newsletter, subscribers are presented with a short list of related publications that they can also join with a single click of the mouse. To see exactly what I mean, you'll just have to sign up for my Surfnetkids newsletter :) http://www.surfnetkids.com/emailediton.htm

I used to price co-registration at .16 per subscriber. But counting all those subscribers every month wasn't automated. We had to do it "by hand." So each month it got overlooked, until one day I had to send out an invoice for ELEVEN months of service. I'm not kidding.

This level of pain finally spurred me to realize that I didn't need to price this service by the subscriber. So I switched to a flat rate fee: $100 a month. Within two days of making this price change on my online rate card, I got two inquiries, one of which converted to a sale. So I'm happy --- and my newest client is happy (they'll end up paying a lot less than .16 per subscriber.)

If you have a newsletter you believe would be a good match for the Surfnetkids.com audience, I'd be happy to talk to you about co-registration.
