July 31, 2007No ReservationsAs Howard and I were returning from our four-day road trip, I noticed that "No Reservations" is playing at our local theater. While I don't know anything about the movie, its title struck me because that's how we did our trip: no reservations. We are "kidless" for two weeks, so we took to the road and hit Los Olivos, Pismo Beach, Hearst Castle in San Simeon, and Montecillo (in Santa Barbara.) With the advent of cell phones and laptops computers, we made our driving plan every morning, and then called ahead for that evening's hotel reservations. Even though it was the height of the tourist season along the California coast, I never had to make more than three calls to find a spot to sleep. Round trip we did about 780 miles and we out for three nights and four days. Hope you are enjoying your summer days too! More Posts Like This One: My Life 2007 Posted by Barbara J.
