Unlike some who claim they learned all of life's important lessons in kindergarten, I learned something new yesterday: When harvesting rosemary and apricots, use two separate bags.

Fresh apricots are amazingly delicious, but it is very confusing to the palate when they smell of rosemary.

On the other hand, I found out yesterday (in BusinessWeek perhaps?) that basil has some mold-resisting properties that mean it helps fruits stay fresh longer when they're in bags. Apparently companies are extracting the specific properties of basil and are going to be designing a new type of plastic wrap / bags that include this useful capability. I'm not 100% sure, but I do know that I wouldn't want my apricots to taste like basil any more than rosemary! :-)
