Only Dog Beds

With two German Shepherds and two Maine Coon cats, we have a lot of pet issues, needs, and experience! Based on somewhat of a whim, I decided to build a site that focuses only on a single topic: Dog Beds.

I have to laugh when I think about it. I mean, it's kinda funny. Isn't it? I even started a new newsletter to accompany the site, but it's not going to be about dog beds. That would be pretty boring, wouldn't it? It will simply be the occasion discount coupon from a variety of online pet supply stores.

Here's the site:

So ... the burning question of the day is "Do you own a dog?"

At one point in my life my house veritably crawled with dogs (five), cats (three), and untold numbers of children (even though my daughter is an only child).
We now have one aged (13 years) dog, the last of "the pack", and still the baby of my heart. He would think we were punishing him if we had a dog bed in our bedroom because he sleeps on our bed at night. At the age of sixty my husband and I aren't sure what we will do when he dies, but I expect we will get a "rescued" American bull terrier (like the Target dog). The fish tanks, the fire-bellied toads (like the anole lizard, they theoretically belong to the grandchildren) and our fat cat simply cannot fill the energy and love we get from a dog. I have always lived with one (no love like the obsessive and unconditional love of a dog) and cannot imagine not having one now.

Yes, we have a lively Jack Russell Terrier named "Rusty" who is a mind reader! Honest, he knows what you are spelling even if we do not change expression or give any other indications of the meaning! He also knows which toy you are asking him to bring. And I know you won't believe it, but he says "Mama" or at least barks it. Anyway, he sleeps on an antique four poster mahogany bed or the sofa! Pretty good digs, huh??!!

Oscar has touched my life in so many remarkable ways, and I have always enjoyed sharing his loving and calming nature with others.
If you want to read a really inspiring and moving book (I read it to my second grade classes every year, but adults love it, too) read "Through Otis' Eyes: Lessons from a Guide Dog Puppy"
by Patricia Burlin Kennedy and Robert Christie.

I grew up being afraid of dogs and so never liked them ... until my daughter and her husband brought their new pet to visit. She knew I would like that dog, and she was right! I certainly look at all dogs differently now. I can even joke about being the "grandma", and your site is perfet fot gifting.

I have a Dalmatian, her name is Greta, she is such a nice dog. Has been with me for 11 years but she looks great! About a month ago, she got lost because they are rebuilding a house at the back, she went out and didn't know how to come back, fortunately I could find her. It was just 24 hs but for me was an eternity. I love her
