Random Batch of Updates

I'm feeling a bit sorry for myself today, as the podiatrist gave me a yucky shot between my toes on my right foot, and it's burning. Boo hoo! I think I need one of the decorative kids' band-aids (sealed with a mommy kiss) that always made my own kids feel better!

Anyway, working is the best way to keep my mind off of it, so here goes:

My quotes site "Light a Fire: Educational Quotes" has a new URL. For years it had been over at "light-a-fire.net" but I recently acquired "lightafire.net" without the dashes. I am really happy about that, as I always hated those darn dashes. Please take a peek, and sign up for the daily newsletter if you'd like to get an inspirational education quote in your email box every morning.

This week I also finished uploading another batch of vintage children's books in flipbook format (for reading aloud with your favorite kidlet!) to OldPictureBooks.com. Everyone that visits really loves the site, but it hasn't yet found its audience. So, if you like it and have a blog or a website, a link would be greatly appreciated. :)

One last personal tidbit. My baby turns 17 today. When I started writing my weekly "Surfing the Net with Kids" newspaper column, she was in preschool, and my bio tagline called me a "mother of two young kids." I can't remember exactly when we removed the "two young kids" line, but it's been awhile.
