Selling eBooks on Amazon

by on May 5, 2003

Six of my ebooks started selling on Amazon at the end of last month, and as I shared my excitement about seeing them there, I got many “oohs”, “aahs” and questions.

So here’s the inside scoop:

1) Amazon is still in the process of publishing info on how to get listed, but if you have an existing e-book (they call them e-docs) that you publish (we’re not talking about e-books that you ONLY have resale rights to) you can email edocs@amazon.com for more information.

2) If they accept your e-doc, you will need to create and submit an ONIX file to Amazon. I recommend hiring Jake Ludington of IowaGeek.com.

Hello Barbara and readers…
Can anyone suggest the best way to create a cover for my eBook. I google search free creators – but always end up being asked for money when I click through. Is paying the only way?

This is interesting thing. Never knew that amazon was selling ebooks. How did you create the banners and front pages. They are pretty good.

I wrote and email to edocs@amazon.com but it came back as unknown hosts. Please send the “right” email address. Thanks.
Happy Holidays,
Isabel.
