Friends do let their friends know what’s happening in their lives – so it seems very appropriate to tell your web friends of your hysterectomy. I wish you a speedy recovery. I hope you are recovering quickly and managing to use your recovery time to treat yourself.
It is good when ever anyone is open about medical issues that in the past people have felt wern’t ‘nice’ to talk about – there would be no issue if it were, for example, knee surgery. Yet the old embaressments have led to people delaying or even not getting help which could have eased suffering or even saved lives. So – good on you for being open. Just think it might help someone to get help they have previously felt too awkward to mention.
