Tracking Pixels in RSS Feeds

Dear Barbara,

I am trying to get RSS tracking installed using AdTrackZ, which I see that you have reviewed along with other similar ones. I know you can put in a single pixel gif file in the feed, but how do I track it...something like AdTrackZ only tracks clicks, or does it?

Thanks,
R.

Dear R.,

You can use click tracking software to track pixels. Instead of just a blank pixel, I actually use a photo in my RSS full- newsletter feed that tracks opens using Pro Linkz.

Look at http://www.surfnetkids.com/newsletter-rss.xml

and you'll see a reference to:

img src="http://www.surfnetkids.com/cgi-local/pl/pl.cgi?rss" border="0" alt="Barbara J. Feldman" align="bottom" width="58" height="58"

This img file (my head shot) is actually a call to the ProLinkz link tracker.

Hope this helps,

Barbara
