It’s sweet when technology works, and simple tasks like subscribing to an email list are completely automated. But when technology fails, and there’s no one around to check up on it, URGHH!
Last week I learned that the subscription mechanism for the Surfnetkids Email Book Clubs was broken. And it was probably broken for at least ten months! Double URGHH!
But now it’s fixed, so I figured it was a good time to tell you about the book clubs. They work like this. Five days a week we send you a short ten-minute read from a newly published book. Every Monday we start a new book. So over the course of a year, you get to sample fifty-two books, and hopefully find some good ones you want to read. Those you want to read are available at your local library, local bookstore, or the Internet bookstore of your choice. (By this I mean
that we don’t send you physical books… just excerpts via email.)
