Last year around this time, I asked about New Year’s Resolutions and shared my resolution to handle five pieces of paper a day in order to process the deluge of paper that arrives on my desk each day.
I am happy to report that although the “five a day” didn’t work for me, I have successfully conquered my paper inbox this year by hiring an assistant I call my Paperwork Ninja. So, although the goal of handling paper better might seem like small one, it has been a problem for most of my adult life, and now I am closer and closer to what David Allen calls “mind like water.”
“Mind like water” is a state of mind where you are so organized that you can react to any situation in a completely appropriate way (not under react or over react) and then quickly return to a state of calm.
Anyway, this year, instead of a resolution, I am going to write down a set of goals for 2010. One of them will be to complete the Surfnetkids redesign that is happening behind the scenes at this very moment (very exciting, but still top secret!) and to add more community components to my Surfnetkids.com site.
How about you? What are your goals for 2010?
