Wishing you and yours a very Happy Mother’s Day. We have a big day planned, with a fancy brunch out with my mom in the morning and a nice dinner out planned with my mother-in-law. We used to merge the two families for Mother’s Day festivities, but my mom prefers to be alone (the star of the show, so to speak) so whenever I can, that’s the way I do it.
I’m expecting both my kids to join us .. so I’m thrilled! My son’s college is 100 miles from home, so it’s a bit of a drive for him to come, but not impossible. Next year, my daughter will be in school in Boston. That’s 3000 miles away. Ugh. Moving on ….
If you’re looking for some Mother’s Day themed resources, here’s a page that lists all the coloring pages, crafts and other Mother’s Day resources we have here at Surfnetkids.
Oh, but before you dash off, I’d love to hear how others handle in-laws, blended families, and all the other demands of celebrating family holidays. Just post a comment to below to share your view.
