Greetings from the Trees

by on August 23, 2011

I am writing to you today from Lake Tahoe. I am here for our family cousins’ week vacation, with fifteen of my brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, children and hubby. It’s a huge party! From most of the rooms of the rental house, we have a view of the trees, as I do now from the living room.
Trees as far as the eyes can see: the view from the balcony in our Lake Tahoe vacation rental.

In addition to the joys of being in the mountains, I just love being with the family, with our kids that range from five to twenty-three, where at any one time at least thirteen items are lost. At the moment this includes my red hairbrush, a few reusable water bottles, two pairs of sunglasses, a blue bottle of sunscreen, one set of car keys, the coffee beans we bought yesterday, a pair of running shoes, a Samsung phone charger, an unopened package of Zrytec, a still-warm cup of coffee, a sun hat, and a half empty package of chewing gum.
